U.S Involvement
The U.S was involved in the Cuban Revolution in several ways, not
only did they help supply Castro and Che with guns and ammunition for their
second rebellion attack on Batista, but they also were involved when they held
the Bay of Pigs Invasion. This was a failed attempt to overthrow Castro's
dictatorship. Many people credit John Kennedy with this although really the idea was proposed by Eisenhower. The U.S did not want to directly send their own troops to the battle so instead they used Cuban exiles that were trained and armed by Americans. after this, friction increased between the U.S and Cuba. In reaction to that, the soviet Union planted missle stations in Cuba. this became a giant threat to the U.S so they threatened to attack if the missles werent removed. without much choice, they agreed. this was part of the resolution to the Cuban missle crisis. After this president Eisenhower terminated diplomatic relations with Cuba. with all these events its easy to say that the U.S had a pretty big involvement in the revolution.
